Morning Walk and Guavas

I woke up early this morning so I decided to take a walk with my nephew, Little Tashi (aka Gab).

I think he liked the idea of playing in the street so after our breakfast I took him out again, this time to drive his new toy. He was thrilled!

While Little Tashi was ‘driving’, I had a little chit chat with the neighbors and one of them gave me a few of the guavas he just picked from the tree. Yum!

Guava tree. Guavas are common tropical fruits cultivated and enjoyed in many tropical and subtropical regions. Psidium guajava is a small tree in the Myrtle family, native to Mexico, Central America, and northern South America. – Wikipedia

I was reminded of my grandpa’s house in the province/country.  His backyard has lots of tropical fruit-bearing trees and we can eat all the fruits we want, anytime. I miss those days.

Good day. Good times.

An early-morning walk is a blessing for the whole day. –  Henry David Thoreau
