Tashi and I celebrated our 11th year wedding anniversary at the luxurious and historic Rivercene Mansion Bed and Breakfast – a perfect place to celebrate love and happiness and at the same time get some rest and relaxation from the busy life in the city.

We stayed at the beautiful room of Miss Margaret Kinney.
Margaret Kinney-Ravenel was the youngest daughter of the Kinney Clan. She shared this room with her husband Samuel Ravenel, a civil war soldier, railroad engineer, and later an editor for several newspapers, many of which we have original prints of.
This bedroom gets the late afternoon sun and can feature some of Missouri’s best sunsets! The ceilings are 12 foot tall and features 3 10 foot windows that overlook the side and back lawn. Like all the other second floor rooms, Margaret’s room features elaborate crown moldings, and an Italian marble front gas fire place to warm you from the evening chill. There is a door that connects to Ms. Cora’s room if you want two rooms together.
It is furnished with antiques, family portraits, a queen four poster bed, and a full bath with shower. The original gas light fixtures are still attached the wall where Ms. Margaret’s dressing table sat. It was here she would get ready for formal evenings and steamboat parties with her best friend and sister, Cora. – http://www.Rivercene.com

I love every minute we stayed at the Mansion. It was short but definitely worth it.
Happy Anniversary, T! Thank you for this wonderful day of rest and relaxation for both of us. Thank you for always being there for me, for being my constant source of encouragement and laughter.
