It’s party time at the alley!
Every year my sister and her neighbors organize a Christmas party at their alley. They prepare food and games for everyone, especially the children. I told my sister I wanted to participate in this year’s party and their activities – games and gift exchange.

We had the party last night and even though there were a few of the neighbors who weren’t able to participate, everyone still had a blast especially when my brother Kevin announced that one of the prizes for the games would be fireworks. (Yep, Filipinos are big on fireworks in welcoming the New Year).
It was great to watch them have fun. One of the games was ‘longest line’ and Jay R (boy wearing black shirt above) actually took his pants off so they’d win. My niece, Nina had to take a quick shower afterwards as ants crawled on her when she laid down in the street. We declared it was a tie so everyone received a prize.

Fireworks. They never fail to mesmerize everyone, young and old.

It was a great night. Merry Christmas, Everybody!
None of us lives in isolation. We’re in it together. And some conflict along the way is inevitable. But our highest priority, when all is said and done, has to be commitment to each other –- sticking together. – Steve Goodier
