Flu Vaccines are back! Are you ready to get pricked? I’m not!
I just got an email today informing us of the free flu shot the company is providing its employees. Yay, isn’t it? But no, just like last year, I don’t think I’ll get one this year. I have a deathly fear of needles! The last time I had a flu shot was two years ago and I clearly remember that I almost fainted (again) despite my co-worker trying to distract me while the nurse held my arm and give me the shot. Well, the trick didn’t work. Next thing I knew, I was drinking the water the nurse handed me and my co-worker had to escort me back to my desk.
Oh well, for those who are not as scared of needles as I am, you may start getting your flu shots now directly from your family physician or from your local drugstores like CVS and Walgreens. Remember, an annual flu shot is recommended for everyone 6 months or older!
