Welcome Summer 2018!
It’s actually raining in Kansas City on this year’s first day of Summer. We had already seen a lot of summer weather lately so to get a good amount of rain today is great.
Tashi and I went for a walk and enjoyed the earthy smell of fresh rain and the sweet smell of flowers around us. Is it just me? I think, when it rains, everything becomes more wonderful. The flowers, though soaked, looked fresher. Birds sing louder and squirrels are more playful. Even rabbits and deer were out today too. Everyone looked happy and celebrated the summer solstice. Below are some of the photos I took today.
