Our happy feet’s destination this weekend was Sedalia, Missouri – venue of the annual Missouri State Fair. I’ve never been to a State Fair so I didn’t know what to expect. Tashi shared a few information but whenever I have a question his response was always ‘you’ll see’ so I turned to the Fair’s History Summary page of their website to get a glimpse of what it’s all about.
It’s a huge Carnival! I love carnivals and country lifestyle so I knew I would like the experience despite the heat.
The Fair offered rides and attractions mostly suited for kids. There are also hundreds of local vendors to choose and buy from. I bought some handcrafted soaps from Jasper Lee Soap Works. I love their citronella-based Bugs Off bar soap.

It was a fun-filled day for me and Tashi. Although our happy feet had become achy feet after hours of walking and exploring it was still a great experience. I told Tashi, when we go back next year I will be wearing my cowboy boots.
Yeehaw!
“Country things are the necessary root of our life – and that remains true even of a rootless and tragically urban civilization. To live permanently away from the country is a form of slow death.” ― Esther Meynell
