Tashi and I’s daily late afternoon walks by the lake reminded me of the Watkins Mill State Park. If I remember it right, we went there last September 2015 and walked around the lake without realizing it was a 5-mile walk.
The park is huge and very pretty. It offers a variety of activities to people of different ages.
“A 100-acre lake with a paved bicycle path around it, plentiful fishing, a picturesque campground and choice picnic spots make Watkins Mill State Park an ideal place for an afternoon or longer. Located near the Kansas City area, the park has ample fishing opportunities and an abundance of whitetailed deer and wild turkeys to watch. The park is adjacent to the Watkins Woolen Mill State Historic Site, a National Historic Landmark. ” – https://mostateparks.com/park/watkins-mill-state-park
I’m glad I was able to find the photos I took the last time we went there.
Listen to the voice of nature.
