Photowalk and Flowers

One of my favorite things to do during my lunchbreak at work is to photowalk. I love taking pictures of the flowers, parks, trees and sometimes monuments.  In fact, I take pictures of almost everything, a parked bicycle, an empty can of soda, a wooden bench in mini park, fountains, alleys. Anything.

With winter slowly approaching, I know that everything will soon be covered with snow and I won’t be able to do much photowalking as I like. With this thought in mind, even though I like winter for its snow, I wished it’s still spring.  It’s during these moments that I think about this poem I read as a kid.

As a rule, man is a fool,
When it’s hot, he wants it cool;
When it’s cool, he wants it hot,
Always wanting what is not.

I smiled at the truthfulness of this short poem.

Flowers are my favorite photo subjects.  Aside from their undeniable beauty, they have a way of making everyone feel better. They give everyone a reason to smile. They even make a lonely coffee table or dining table vibrant.

Below are a few of the photos I took last spring during my photowalk moments.  Please bear with me, the photos were only from my iPhone.

  1. your photos look cool. you should make them into postcards. i also enjoy doing photowalk but i like to take certain photos of my day, and create a storyboard of whatever i encounter on my way. it is interesting to see the collection of photos together.

    1. Thank you, Fifi. That’s a good idea. Even though I scrap book from time to time, I didn’t really think about creating a story board. I will definitely try that one of these days.
